I was privileged to grow up in a family that has specialized in the trade and knotting of carpets for generations.

Because my family managed the entire process from A to Z, I learned and experienced everything from the ground up: from knotting, repairing and restoring rugs to cleaning, exporting and selling to stores and retailers.
Over the years, this beautiful art form has fascinated me more and more.

After four generations, I have brought together under one roof in Maastricht a wonderful collection of hand-knotted carpets, ranging from modern to classic pieces, from nomadic creations to the finest silk carpets.
Unfortunately, over the years, partly due to high costs, we see fewer and fewer artisans still willing to knot carpets.
It is a very time-consuming process, and fewer and fewer people continue this beautiful craft.

This makes it all the more important to cherish and properly care for the carpets we still have.
I work exclusively with professional craftsmen who specialize in cleaning and restoring carpets so that these valuable heirlooms retain or regain their beauty.

I also take the time to think with clients and help them select the most beautiful pieces for their interiors.
This allows them to enjoy many years of a valuable rug that enriches their interiors.
